Cities in the World that will Succumb to Flooding as Climate Change Ramps Up

I know. It’s a depressing thought to face the aspect that the city you live in, or once lived in, may flood to the point people will have to leave it en masse.

I say it’s better to be prepared in the knowledge of what is happening to our world as climate change doesn’t show any signs of abating soon. Stopping all fossil fuels NOW is not gonna happen. It’s pledged to happen in phases over the coming decade but I don’t know if it will be quick enough as the earth is heating up faster than predicted.

I found this really interesting article that names 36 cities around the world that will face flooding in the coming decades. 226,000,000 (million) or more people will be directly affected. I shudder to think of the chaos and disasters we will see and likely experience in our lifetime. The United Nations says 10% of the world’s population or 790 million people live on a coastline.
